10t/h High BET Hydrated Lime Plant installed in Inner Mongolia

Following the successful commission of a 10t/h high BET hydrated lime plant in Tanshan, another client in Inner Mongolia had choosed our lime hydration system to produce the high valued high BET hydrated lime. High BET hydrated lime has become very popular in the past few years due to the increasing market demand(primarily in flue gas desulphurization process to replace soda) and technology improvement. Below are more information regarding high BET hydrated lime(or calcium hydroxide).

2. High BET hydrated lime Product characteristics

High BET hydrated lime has the characteristics of being porous, highly active, well dispersed, and highly utilized. Its specific surface area is 3-4 times that of ordinary calcium hydroxide. It is currently recognized as an excellent dry desulfurization product internationally. The dry desulfurizers used in practice are mainly high BET hydrated lime and soda. Soda has a fast reaction rate, but its cost is relatively high and its solid waste is difficult to handle. In the 1980s, Europe, the United States, and Japan have widely used high BET hydrated lime for desulfurization in waste power plants and thermal power plants, successfully replacing soda. High BET hydrated lime has developed pores, and HCl and SO2 in the flue gas quickly complete the adsorption and absorption reaction, with a utilization rate of more than 95%.

3. High BET hydrated lime Desulfurization characteristics

  • a.   It is suitable for the treatment of almost all sulfur-containing flue gases, can meet ultra-low emission requirements, and the desulfurization efficiency is as high as more than 95%.
  • b.   The temperature window is wide, and it can be used for flue gases from room temperature to 400℃.
  • c.   The desulfurizer is made in the factory, and no auxiliary equipment such as grinder is required on site. The process is simple. The ultra-fine powder is directly sprayed into the flue through a high-efficiency ejector, and the absorption reaction is completed during the flow of flue gas.
  • d.   Use or add a bag filter to ensure the ultra-low emission requirements of the system dust.
  • f.    Desulfurization ash is a calcium-based solid waste and can be used as a resource.
  • g.   The central control room is centrally controlled, and the fixed number of personnel is not increased. The equipment occupies a small area, which is especially suitable for low temperature and low sulfur environments.
  • h.   Perfectly replace the SDS soda process, with low investment and energy consumption, and solve the solid waste problem.
